DCtoB · Data center design

From megawatts to a tendered bid, in one energized model.

Set an IT-load target — DCtoB sizes the power and cooling, lays out the floors in 2D and 3D, draws the single-line diagrams, and prices the BoQ. Change the load once; every discipline and the cost stay precise and in agreement.

BE PRECISE, BE PREPARED — engineering-accurate sizing, end-to-end.

02 Capabilities

Six modules, one model

Capacity, electrical, cooling, layouts, proposals and AI generation all read the same configuration — so a change in one is a change in all, and the numbers stay accurate from load sheet to drawing to budget.

M01

Capacity & configuration

Define data halls, IT load, rack density and redundancy — the precise baseline everything else derives from.

  • Per-hall load & rack planning
  • Redundancy & tier targets
  • Office & support spaces
M02

Electrical & single-line

Transformers, generators, UPS and ATS/PTU distribution with auto-generated single-line diagrams.

  • Editable ESLD / MSLD diagrams
  • Panel & cable schedules
  • Live redundancy & uptime test
M03

Cooling & heat load

Size chillers, CRAH and the full hydronic loop — expansion, buffer and make-up vessels included.

  • Heat-load & flow calculations
  • Chiller & pump selection
  • Tank & vessel sizing
M04

2D & 3D layouts

Auto-placed floor plans and an interactive 3D site model — halls, plant, offices and infrastructure.

  • Generated floor layouts
  • Full 3D building & site
  • PNG & PDF export
M05

Proposals & BoQ

Turn the design into a complete proposal: scope, technical, compliance, schedule, cost and bill of quantities.

  • Technical & financial sections
  • Standards & compliance
  • Org chart & delivery plan
M06

AI generation

Generate photoreal facility renders and visual concepts straight from your configured design.

  • Render generation
  • Concept visuals
  • Presentation-ready output
03 Inside the build

One workflow, end to end

Set the IT-load once and DCtoB carries it through the whole sequence — calculate the sizing, draw the single-line diagrams, test the redundancy live, position everything on the real site, then render it photoreal with AI. Change the load and the entire chain updates.

STEP 1 · CALCULATE
Equipment selection and sizing summary

Size it from the load

Set the IT load and DCtoB sizes capacity, power and cooling — every system selected and counted.

STEP 1 · CALCULATE
UPS selection and sizing

UPS sized to the demand

Modules, redundancy and runtime matched to your IT load and tier target.

STEP 2 · SINGLE-LINE
Electrical single-line diagram

Electrical single-line, drawn for you

Utility to rack — every transformer, ATS, UPS and panel, auto-built from the sizing.

STEP 2 · SINGLE-LINE
Mechanical single-line diagram

Mechanical single-line, instantly

Chillers, pumps, CDUs and CRAHs on one clean, coordinated cooling schematic.

STEP 3 · TEST

Redundancy, tested live

Trip any UPS, generator or feeder and watch the load re-route in real time — the live tier-uptime test, played at speed.

STEP 4 · POSITION
Site land selection and plot boundary

Start on the real plot

Trace your land, set the boundary, and position everything straight onto the actual site.

STEP 4 · POSITION
3D offices building model

Place the buildings

Offices and support spaces, modelled to scale beside the white space.

STEP 4 · POSITION
3D power rooms with packaged power-train containers

Power rooms that look real

Packaged power-train containers — corrugated, plinthed, connected and on the slab.

STEP 4 · POSITION
2D power rooms layout plan

…and a plan you can build from

The same power block as a dimensioned 2D layout with real service clearances.

STEP 4 · POSITION
3D generator yard with standby gensets

Standby power, yard-ready

Containerised gensets, roof silencers and bunded fuel, spaced for maintenance.

STEP 4 · POSITION
2D generator yard layout plan

Down to the last setback

The generator yard as a clean 2D plan with access roads and clearances.

STEP 5 · RENDER · AI
Photoreal AI-rendered view of the whole data center facility

Photoreal, AI-rendered

Turn the finished model into a realistic, AI-rendered view of the whole facility — board-ready in minutes.

04 Standards we follow

Standards-aware by design

Every calculation is anchored to recognised engineering standards, so the proposal you export is accurate and traceable. DCtoB aligns with:

UI

Uptime Institute · Tier I–IV

Redundancy and topology targets map to Tier classifications, so N, N+1 and 2N choices are explicit and consistent.

ASHRAE

ASHRAE TC 9.9 · Thermal

Cooling is sized against ASHRAE allowable and recommended envelopes for inlet temperature and humidity.

IEC

IEC / IEEE · Electrical

Transformer, generator, UPS and distribution sizing follow IEC/IEEE conventions for ratings and protection.

NFPA

NFPA 70 / 75 / 76

Power, equipment spacing and life-safety provisions reference NFPA practice for data processing facilities.

TIA

TIA-942 · Infrastructure

Space, pathways and redundancy align to TIA-942 facility classes for the whole site.

05 How it works

From a blank brief to a bid in four moves

01

Configure

Set the IT load, redundancy and site parameters that anchor the design.

02

Calculate

Electrical, cooling and equipment are sized accurately against your targets.

03

Visualize

Review single-line diagrams, 2D plans and a live 3D model of the facility.

04

Propose

Export BoQ, costs and a full technical proposal — ready for the client.

06 DCtoB · FAQ

Questions, answered

What's included?
The full design engine: capacity, electrical & cooling sizing, 2D & 3D layouts, single-line diagrams, schedules, BoQ, and the complete proposal & calculation exports (PDF / Word / Excel) — plus AI image & video rendering.
What are the AI rendering limits?
Each project includes up to 20 photoreal images and 3 video renders.
Can I export my designs and data?
Always. Single-line diagrams export to PDF, PNG and CSV; layouts and the 3D model export as images; and proposals, calculations, schedules and the bill of quantities export to PDF, Word and Excel — so your work stays portable.
Do you offer custom or enterprise terms?
Yes — for larger teams or for SSO/SAML, private-cloud or on-prem deployment and custom standards templates, get in touch about a custom agreement.
